New Community Lifestyle Courses starting this August

Nepean Community College is excited to announce a new range of Community Lifestyle Courses beginning in early August. These courses are designed to help Australians navigate the digital world with confidence and safety.
With the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and increasing concerns around cybersecurity, especially on mobile phones and the internet, these courses aim to equip participants with essential knowledge to stay safe online.
Participants will learn how to recognise phishing attempts, identify suspicious websites, protect personal information, and adopt safe online habits. The goal is to empower individuals with the skills and confidence needed to navigate the digital world safely and avoid online threats.

Never Allow Your Past To Define Your Future

One of the greatest privileges of my role as CEO is seeing the incredible transformations that occur when people are given the opportunity, support and belief to succeed.
Last week (16th July 26), Nepean Community College proudly celebrated the graduation of three Developing Skills for Education and Careers (DSEC) classes. What made this achievement particularly special was that 34 students commenced the program and 32 successfully completed it, an outstanding 94% completion rate. These young people demonstrated resilience, courage and determination throughout their learning journey, and I could not be prouder of what they have accomplished.
Our graduation theme,“Never Allow Your Past to Define Your Future,” served as a powerful reminder that success is not determined by where we have come from, but by the choices we make moving forward. Watching students celebrate alongside their families, friends and supporters was a reminder of why community education matters.
The College continues to grow and evolve. We are delighted by the positive impact of our recent Neurodiversity Academy endorsement and remain committed to creating learning environments where every person feels welcomed, respected and able to achieve their potential.
