The Foundations of Photography

The Foundations of Photography is a structured 8-session practical course designed to give students both technical confidence and creative clarity.
This program moves beyond automatic settings and surface-level learning. Students develop a strong understanding of their camera, exposure control, composition, light, storytelling, and editing — while building a small portfolio of intentional, emotionally engaging work.
The course balances theory, live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, guided shooting, and structured critique.
