Antique and Furniture Restoration


Bring your life to furniture with this restoration course! Learn key techniques—including re-polishing, hand weaving, rush seating, and repairs—while working on a simple project. Open to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned restorers.

Target Audience:

Anyone interested in learning how to bring life back into furniture and restore their loved items.

Please contact the College upon enrolment if you will require any accommodations or feel there is anything our staff should be aware of to ensure that you enjoy your learning experience.

Things to bring along:
  • Small furniture item to begin (stool, chair, table)
  • Notebook
  • Pen

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding of how to handle household projects
  • Confidence in restoration projects
  • Building up skills in handiwork and tool use

Learning Methods:

This is a face-to-face class running for 8 weeks with class one day a week.

New class dates for Term 3 will be available in June.
