The ukulele is one of the most versatile stringed instruments around. You do not need to be able to read music, but in fact will become familiar with printed chord charts as well as learning a variety of strums and styles of playing. You will learn a brief history of the Ukulele, the varieties available, simple chord and fingering techniques and how to hold and tune the Ukulele. You may bring your Ukulele or purchase a new pre- prepared one from the tutor from $35.

To be able to play songs, with simple strums and basic chords in all keys. To understand the different styles of Ukes and to be able to source song material.

Nothing compulsory, however difficult to obtain items are available from the tutor: Strings tuner etc. Song sheets all provided. Further songbook material available. Wear warm clothing in Autumn and Winter as classrooms can get quite cold.
