Topics Covered include:

Students learn to greet each other and use basic terms to hold a conversation when meeting others Grammar aspect will include verb to be (am, is, are) Personal pronouns, talking about oneself. Grammar aspect will include use of "is, isn't, are, aren't" Students will learn about food in the room, when dining out and how to make requests. Grammar aspects will include present simple Students will learn about members of the family and speak about their own Grammar aspects will include Yes/No and Wh-questions Students will learn about different rooms/items in the home Grammar aspect will include using "There is/are, There isn't, aren't" Students will learn about different occupations, speak about what jobs they are interested in Grammar aspect will include reviewing and using the present tense Students will learn about how to tell the time Grammar activities will include use of "from, until, for" Students will learn about clothing and common shopping related vocabulary Grammar aspects will include "this, that, these, those" and the use of possessive -S

Course Outcome

Learners will exit the program with the ability to communicate using everyday English as well as gain the confidence to integrate into Australian society
